Q: Define yourself in 3 words
A: Individual, lively, target-oriented
Q: What religion did you choose to follow?
A: I am a born muslim and was taught about my religion when I used to go to school in my home town Cairo. But I chose to be independent of the way I think about God and have an own relation to him. My parents were never strict about this subject which makes me be interested in other religions and to know about them. I really find it disturbing that religion, a helpful guidbook of life, causes so much conflict. The world has so many great and different cultures which makes it so colorful.
Q: Do you believe a good life is attainable? Or is it something that is out of our control i.e. subject to luck etc.?
A: I think that we do have influence in having a good life, and its starts with the right mindset. Someone who thinks negative, sees everything in that way and will attract only the negative. That will suck the energy to reach your aims. Thinking positive and appreciating what you already have gets you more motivated to make it through challenging phases in life. A clear vision of your goals is essencial to work your way through to a happy and fullfilling life. I also believe that things happen and don't happen for a reason. But if there is an opportunity, you have to act on it! It's a combination of both.
Q: Do you plan in advance?
A: Yeah! I am really organized! Maybe too organized! (laughs). I realized though, that you can't always make a concrete plan of how and by when something is going to work out. Some things need to develop from itself. Goals you are striving for will happen when the time is right and when you believe that it will. And sometimes we just need to be patient and leave it up to destiny. There is nothing wrong though to do the homework and be prepaired for the chances that will come across.
Q: If you could be successful at any job in the world, what would that job be?
A: In the job where I am now! It's important that you find a job where you have the passion for it! Only that way you can have success. Success doesn't necessarily mean a lot of money. The way I define success is 'happiness'. If we are happy with what we do, we have motivation and faith to achieve our goals. And that makes us work hard for it.
Q: What makes you laugh?
A: Jokes, when something funny happens randomly, but the one who cracks me up the most is my Dad! He always makes me laugh with tears! (laughs)
Q: Are you left handed or right handed?
A: I am a creative lefty!
Q: If you could travel back in time, what mistake(s) would you want to correct?
A: I think life is about making mistakes and to learn your lesson for the future. There are reasons why things didn't go the way you wanted it. And maybe you've done the wrong thing for the right reasons.
Q: What do you do for fun?
A: I love dancing and do that since I'm seven years old! Whenever I am in the mood for it or there is a great song, I just get up and dance! As my passion is fashion, beauty and lifestyle, I like going through my closet creating new looks, watch the latest make-up tutorials and experiment with hairstyles. I change my whole look at least every 6 months! (laughs)
